Whitney Mosery BIO

Whitney Mosery is a director and dramaturg, dividing her time between New York and London. After becoming the first American to receive a Masters in Theatre Directing from RADA, Whitney joined London's Almeida Theatre as their first Director in Residence. Since then, her work has been presented at Ars Nova, Williamstown Theatre Festival, NYMF, United Solo, Edinburgh Fringe, Latitude, Theatre 503, Camden People's Theatre, the St. James Theatre, and a newly excavated amphitheater in Messini, Greece. Currently, Whitney is the dramaturg of a new Cirque du Soleil show opening in 2020, developing and directing a new musical about Mary MacLane with Katie Brayben and Abby Rosebrock, co-creating a new documentary theater piece about the drug resistance crisis with Joshua Williams, and directing a theatrical adaptation of the film Compliance. Recently, she was Associate Director of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, American Psycho and King Charles III on Broadway. BA in Classics from Princeton. www.whitneymosery.com

THE WHITE DRESS, written by Roger Q. Mason and directed and choreographed by Adin Walker will have a limited engagement Summer run, July 5-20 at the Access Theater, 380 Broadway. Based on the playwright's true-life experience, this is a genderqueer coming-of-age tale for the they/them generation.

The Orchard Project is announcing the artists participating in its thirteenth summer theatre residency program. More than 30 artists and ensembles were selected for residencies this summer from nearly 1000 theatre artists and companies who applied.

Art House Productions is proud to announce its winter mainstage production of Allison Gregory's Not Medea, directed by Adin Walker. Performances run, December 6,7,8, 13, 14, 15 at 8:00pm, and Sundays, December 9 and 16 at 3:00pm for a total of eight performances, with ASL and Audio Interpretation at the Friday, December 14th performance. Beginning at 6:30pm prior to the December 14th performance, the Art House Access Committee will host a free mixer for artists with and without disabilities. Wine and hors d'oeuvres included. In concurrence with Not Medea, the Art House Gallery will be open for its inaugural Affordable Art Show featuring over 75 fine art pieces all selling for $500 and under. Art House Productions is located at 262 17th St, Jersey City, NJ 07310. For tickets and more information visit www.arthouseproductions.org

The Orchard Project is proud to announce the artists, teams, and ensembles participating in its twelfth summer theatre residency program. More than 30 artists and ensembles were selected for residencies this summer from nearly 600 theatre artists and companies who applied. The artists, teams, and companies will come to Saratoga Springs from across the United States and the world to accelerate projects at various stages of development. Throughout the program, the Orchard Project will also present a series of special events and cabarets for the public by OP residents and associated artists.

New York Musical Festival (NYMF) Announces Final Production, Readings And Concerts For 2018 Festival


The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today further selections for 2018 NYMF. The final invited production as well as a series of developmental readings and concerts will join the initially announced Next Link Projects. Now in its fifteenth year, the 2018 Festival will take place July 9th through August 5th at locations on West 42nd St. in New York City. Dan Markley serves as NYMF Executive Director and Rachel Sussman serves as Producing Artistic Director.

The Orchard Project Announces 2018 New York City Greenhouse


The Orchard Project (Artistic Director, Ari Edelson) announced the eleven writers, composers, directors and companies for its 2018 New York City Greenhouse. In its first year, the Orchard Project NYC Greenhouse is a new NYC-based accelerator for directors, writers, composers and other generative artists to seed ambitious and unexpected work, form new relationships and develop a new generation of theater. PIN* AND THE BLUE FAIRY is a new play in development with OUTLIERS Theatre Co, based on Collodi's classic The Adventures of Pinocchio. The play examines the wooden puppet's journey to become a proper boy through the eyes of a contemporary trans teenager named Blue. As Blue attempts to find their own path, they turn to Pin's tale, and their stories intertwine in a search for understanding, transformation, and personal truth.
