The Chocolate Factory Theater has announced its 19th season of performances - the third at its new permanent facility - featuring 12 Commissioned Premieres, 1 Supported Creative Residency (with several others TBA), new work by The Chocolate Factory's Co-Founder / Artistic Director, and partnerships with Abrons Arts Center, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, On the Boards, Villa Albertine, and EMPAC.

Villa Albertine today revealed the fall programming for its year-long Dance Season, a 360-degree program that caters to each stage of the artistic process from the conception of new work to performance to continuing professional development and learning in the industry.   

Paris-based choreographer Wanjiru Kamuyu’s evocative and sensorial choreography draws from her experience of migration across three continents — Africa, North America and Europe. This spring, the Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance at Wayne State University will bring a piece choreographed by Kamuyu to the brand new Hilberry Gateway for its 94th Annual Spring Dance Concert: On The Horizon.

PS21/PERFROMANCE SPACES FOR THE 21ST CENTURY, a state-of-the art venue on 100 acres of unspoiled meadows, trails, and woodlands in the heart of the Hudson Valley has announced their 2023 SUMMER SEASON, which runs June 1 through October 21, featuring more than 40 events in our open-air Pavilion Theater, in the fields and meadows, and throughout the region.

Traditionally held each year immediately after Labor Day, the DANCE NOW Festival is known as the kick-off to the dance season in New York City.

Now in its third year, the LA Phil's National Composers Intensive (NCI) program expands internationally for the first time, inviting young composers (ages 18 to 30) from Mexico and the U.S. to create new works for the acclaimed Los Angeles-based modern music collective wild Up.
