TONY M. WILLIAMS II (Director/ Choreographer) is a New York transplant that has worked nationally as both a dancer and a choreographer. Tony started training in high school in musical theatre and tap. His love of dance took him to Jacksonville University where he continued his training additionally in ballet, jazz, and modern, earning him a BFA. Since graduating in 2011, Tony has choreographed for companies up and down the east coast. He was recently appointed the Artistic Director of APAC.

This award recognizes inspiration and leadership in music education. For over ten years, hundreds of current and former music students have shown appreciation for their music teachers through Ovation Award submissions. Beginning on March 6, 2023, current and former students of all ages are invited to nominate “the music teacher who changed my life” in a 250-word essay.
