The Bishop Arts Theatre Center will open its 28th anniversary season with a world premiere production of Franky Gonzalez's new play, Before You Get Married. Gonzalez was recently named BATC's Playwright-in-Residence and will be primarily responsible for curating the season and developing workshops for local writers.

Bishop Arts Theatre Center (BATC) is partnering with Portland, Oregon‚Äôs Profile Theatre to bring the audio version of Lynn Nottage‚Äôs¬†Mlima‚Äôs Tale¬†to Dallas audiences. Ms. Nottage is a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, one for her script¬†Ruined¬†in 2009, the¬†other for¬†Sweat¬†in 2017. Production dates for the audio play will run April 12 ‚Äď May 8, 2021, and can be accessed on the BATC website.
