He has been involved in some of the most successful shows of recent years, including "The Producers," "The Book of Mormon," and "Kinky Boots." Miller has also produced a number of Off-Broadway productions, as well as films and television shows.
Miller's career in the entertainment industry began in the 1980s, when he worked as a talent agent for William Morris. He later became a producer, and his first Broadway credit was as a co-producer of the 1995 revival of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." Since then, he has produced a wide range of shows, from musicals to plays to revivals.
One of Miller's most successful productions was "The Producers," which he co-produced with Mel Brooks. The show premiered on Broadway in 2001 and went on to win a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Miller also produced the show's successful film adaptation, which starred Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick.
Miller's next big hit was "The Book of Mormon," which he co-produced with Scott Rudin. The musical, which was written by "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, premiered on Broadway in 2011 and quickly became a cultural phenomenon. It won nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and has since gone on to become one of the most successful shows in Broadway history.
In 2013, Miller produced "Kinky Boots," a musical with music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper. The show, which was based on a true story, premiered on Broadway to critical acclaim and went on to win six Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Miller also produced the show's successful West End production, which opened in London in 2015.
In addition to his work on Broadway, Miller has produced a number of Off-Broadway productions. These include "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," "Altar Boyz," and "The Toxic Avenger." He has also produced a number of films, including "The Bucket List" and "The Girl on the Train," as well as the television show "Smash."
Miller's most recent Broadway production was the 2019 revival of "Betrayal," starring Tom Hiddleston, Zawe Ashton, and Charlie Cox. The play, which was written by Harold Pinter, tells the story of a love triangle between a married couple and the husband's best friend. The production received positive reviews and was a commercial success.
