Nea Somogyi is an actress, singer, dancer, and producer from San José, Costa Rica. She's an alumni of the National Theater School of Costa Rica, and The American Musical And Dramatic Academy in New York.
Nea started her professional career in 2014 with the costa rican TV show "La Media Docena". From then on, she began working in multiple plays, films, and artistic performances. Some of her theater credits include the play "Don Quijote de La Mancha", directed by the renowned Luis Carlos Vasquez Mazzilli, and the play "Crema y Chocolate en Café Concert" by the esteemed writer Claudia Barrionuevo, next to the legendary Thelma Darkings.
After a successful career in her home country, Nea decided to move to New York to expand her artistry and opportunities. She's always on the move, learning a new skill, working in a new project, or looking for ways to be challenged and keep growing. Some of her New York credits include the OFF-BROADWAY musical "Oh Soldedad!" at the Actors Temple Theater, produced by Rob Hinderliter, the new musical "Will Wilson Saves The World" by Lyndsey Chance and Michelle Lugo, and the dance theater piece "IDENTITY" by Charly Wenzel, performed at Theater for the New City.
As a producer, Nea created the cabaret show "Next Stop, New York!" by Suitcase of Dreams, which highlights the importance on equal opportunities for immigrant artists, promoting cultural diversity on stage, and sharing your heritage with others. The show's presented by The Green Room 42, with the guest appearances of J. Antonio Rodriguez and Angel Sigala.
