Weaving fragments from medieval versions of Tristan and Isolde with new text, David Lang's a cappella chamber opera love fail puts a contemporary lens on the classic love story. Presented as a Yarra Valley Opera Festival headline event, this collaboration with the acclaimed Monk Parrots, USA, will stream online from the 1st of Nov through the 30th.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced the inaugural season of Next Door at NYTW in the Fourth Street Theatre, NYTW's newly renovated 65-seat black box space.

Monk Parrots has announced that company members Jessie Dean and John Smiley will join co-founders Luke Landric Leonard and Joey LePage at the helm of the multidisciplinary theatre company as Co-Artistic Directors.

Pioneers Go East Collective will present the World Premiere of American Mill No. 2, a new music-theatre and documentary work written and directed by Gian Marco Lo Forte, with music by Kamala Sankaram, and choreography by Maura Nguyen Donohue. The production, which is devised, performed and written by the Pioneers Go East Collective will begin on March 30, 2017, and run through April 9, 2017 at A.R.T./NY Theatres (502 West 53rd Street at 10th Avenue) as a limited engagement.

Frances Black Projects in association with CAP21 proudly presents Commedia dell'Artichoke, a new comedy about love, dreams, pizza and trying to make it in New York. This production, a contemporary take on commedia dell'arte - the classic Italian style of theatre with masked actors performing a blend of scripted and improvised comedic scenarios - plays January 15 - February 6 at the Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street, between Bowery and Lafayette).
