Sex with Strangers is wrapping up their final week at the historic Horizon Theatre. Written by Laura Eason, the play provokes the thought of who we are in our real lives versus who we portray ourselves to be in the cyber world.

Steaming up the Horizon Theatre stage this spring is the Atlanta premiere of Sex with Strangers, created by House of Cards writer Laura Eason, an up-to-the-minute play about intimacy and ambition that is sweeping the country. When successful bad boy blogger Ethan tracks down his idol, the gifted but unrecognized novelist Olivia, he finds they each crave what the other possesses. Snowbound in a secluded cabin for a weekend, attraction turns to sex, and they both inch closer to getting what they want. As their literary futures become intimately intertwined, both must confront the complications of reinventing oneself when the past is only a click away. This sensuous and provocative play about fame, cyber identity, and big ambition asks: what would you do, and who would you become, to get what you want?

The One-Minute Play Festival (Dominic D'Andrea, Producing Artistic Director & Caitlin Wees, Associate Producer) and Actor's Express (Freddie Ashley, Artistic Director & Alex Scollon, Managing Director) have created a dynamic partnership for The 4th Atlanta One-minute Play Festival with part of the proceeds to benefit artist residency and educational programing.

Actor's Express and the New York based company The One-Minute Play Festival continue their dynamic partnership and present The 3rd Annual Atlanta One-Minute Play Festival, to be performed on Sunday June 8 and Monday June 9 at 8pm. Following sold-out performances for the last two seasons, this year's festival will be the largest, most inclusive, and most ambitious collaboration between Actor's Express and The One-Minute Play Festival yet. The Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. will be honoring Del Hamilton and Faye Allen, founders of 7 Stages Theatre, with the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's 9th annual awards ceremony today, November 4. This is a relatively new category of recognition, given for an outstanding body of work by an Atlanta theatre artist, playwright or producer having a significant impact on the theatre community and voted by the Board of Directors. Along with the original request that Del and Faye be considered for this commendation, multiple endorsements acknowledged the long-term impact both had in developing Atlanta's vibrant and diverse theatrical community.

In addition to the camp programs traditionally offered by Aurora Theatre Academy, this summer boasts something brand new, a fully produced musical production for students. Camps and intensives offer student's grades 1-12 a chance to work with seasoned professionals in a fun and supportive environment. All sessions culminate in a performance in one of the Southeast's best venues, Aurora Theatre. Once again, Aurora Theatre Director of Education, Jaclyn Hofmann has assembled an incredible team of teaching artists with professional credits in metro Atlanta's vibrant theatre, film and television industry.
