The  23rd Annual Provincetown CabaretFest “Sondheim By The Sea”  festival will be held June 5 – June 11 , 2023 at : The Commons, Brasswood Inn and The Crown & Anchor Inn. In Provincetown, MA.

As 2018 comes to a close, we are reflecting on those we have lost in the Broadway and theatre communities throughout the year.

Executive Producer Al Bowman, who for the past 27 years has Produced the LA MUSIC AWARDS, & THE HOLLYWOOD FAME AWARDS, has created the LAS VEGAS FAME AWARDS presented by BOSE PROFESSIONAL & the Producers Choice Honors, which will take place March 23rd 2017 at the Beautiful Hard Rock LIVE in Las Vegas.

Remember in the golden era of live night club shows when the star of the show had a great opening act?  A Boca Raton audience got a double dose of entertainment last night as legendary actor, comedian, (and if you didn't know it WW ll hero) Marty Allen brought his show to the Boca Black Box.  In true show biz tradition the audience was warmed up, or more accurately put thrilled and fired up by the exciting vocalist pianist, and songwriter, Karon Kate Backwell.  She possesses all the excitement and talents of a Wayne Newton, Jerry Lee Lewis and Celine Dion. The audience gave her a standing ovation and so did her husband of 31 years Marty Allen.  

Seven-time Grammy Award-winner Gladys Knight, known as the 'Empress of Soul' performed at the 23rd Annual LIFE 'Lady in Red' Gala and BroadwayWorld was there.

Still witty, smart and funny at 95 years of age, the legendary comic Marty Allen was hosted (not roasted) at a Friars Club lunch.  Emmy Award winning Friar Bill Boggs interviewed Marty about his long career in show business.  Marty worked as an opening act for stars such as Sarah Vaughan, Eydie Gorme and Nat King Cole gained enormous fame when he teamed up with singer Steve Rossi and made 44 appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show.  In 1961 and 1962 Allen appeared on Broadway in Let It Ride! at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre and then went on to perform in the pre-Broadway tour and Broadway performances of I Had A Ball.

LIFE the charitable organization based in Palm Beach had it's 22nd Annual 'Lady In Red' Gala in Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach Florida and Broadwayworld was there. America's Got Talent Howie Mandel starred in the event which also featured Will & Anthony Nunziata, the Palm Beach Symphony and the Sultans of Swing.  

Just in time for the holiday season, the latest episode of American Humane Association's weekly radio show brings some welcome cheer with a pair of comedy legends live from the red carpet at the 21st annual Lady in Red Gala in Palm Beach, Florida. This special edition of "Be Humane with Dr. Robin Ganzert," broadcast on the Pet Life Radio Network, the world's number-one pet radio network, features interviews with movie star and "Saturday Night Live" alum Martin Short and the beloved husband-and-wife comedy act of Marty Allen and Karon Kate Blackwell.

Steve Rossi, one half of the prolific comedy duo Allen & Rossi, which became a favorite of 'The Ed Sullivan Show' and other TV variety shows, died Sunday at age 82.
