Artistic Director Marti Lyons and Remy Bumppo Theatre Company, currently presenting the world premiere of Jessica Dickey's Galileo's Daughter through May 14, have announced its 2023 - 2024 season.

Remy Bumppo Theatre Company will return to the stage for its 2022-2023 season with three plays that celebrate the resilience of the human spirit, our need for creative self-expression, and the never-ending desire for emotional connection.

The Chicago-based Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation (the Foundation)—an organization that offers unrestricted grants to 175 small arts organizations in Chicago with budgets under $1 million—recently surveyed 91 of its performing arts grantees to garner insights on the obstacles preventing organizations to return to live performances this fall cultural season.

Remy Bumppo Theatre Company, under the new artistic leadership of Marti Lyons, will welcome audiences back to the theatre after almost two years with two plays starting in March of 2022.

Remy Bumppo Theatre Company has announced Marti Lyons as artistic director. Lyons assumes this role effective immediately. Lyons was selected after a national search led by ALJP Consulting, with a search committee composed of select staff, Core Ensemble members, Board members and representatives of the local community.

Remy Bumppo Theatre Company is pleased to be collaborating with the Music Box Theatre on The Faces of Frankenstein: Depictions of Frankenstein's Creature from Mary Shelley to Benedict Cumberbatch.

The National Arts Club announced the finalists for The 24 Hour Plays will include Bekah Brunstetter, Josh Koenigsberg, Margaret McCloskey, Megan Mostyn-Brown, Harrison Rivers, and Mac Rogers for the Montblanc Writers Project. Talenthouse.com will feature portions of the plays on their website and take votes to find the winner of the contest. The winner will be the feature of the next 24 Hour Plays.
