GatherNYC, the revolutionary weekly concert experience founded and directed by cellist Laura Metcalf and guitarist Rupert Boyd, announces the groundbreaking string quartet ETHEL as the second guest artist of its Spring 2022 season, held at the series’ new home at Museum of Arts and Design (MAD).

First violinist Muneko Otani and second violinist Jennifer Leshnower have welcomed the arrival of violist Rosemary Nelis and cellist Gwen Krosnick to The Cassatt String Quartet.

The nationally-distributed NPR program From the Top recorded a live show last winter at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts with GRoW @ The Wallis, the umbrella for a robust mix of arts education and outreach programs at The Wallis, that will air locally on Classical KUSC (FM 91.5), on Sunday, October 4, 6 pm.

From the Top, the nationally-distributed NPR program heard throughout the Los Angeles region on KUSC (FM 91.5), brings its next live recording event to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 7:30 PM, featuring newly announced host Peter Dugan and co-host Vijay Gupta. Dugan and Gupta will interview and perform with each of the exceptional young artists, ages 10 - 18, showcasing not just their inspiring talent, but also giving insight into the lives of these young, aspirational artists. The event, presented in conjunction with GRoW @ The Wallis, the umbrella for a robust mix of education and outreach programs at The Wallis, is open to the public and tickets are now available.

Vertical Entertainment and DIRECTV have acquired the North American distribution rights to Human Capital following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Starring Oscar-award winner Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny, The Big Short), Liev Schreiber (Spotlight, a?oeRay Donovana??), Peter Sarsgaard (The Magnificent Seven, Blue Jasmine), and Maya Hawke (Stranger Things, Once Upon A Timea??in Hollywood), the film focuses on the lives of two families from different socio-economic backgrounds who collide when their children begin a relationship that leads to a tragic accident. Also starring Aasif Mandvi (Million Dollar Arm, Margin Call) and Alex Wolff (Hereditary, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle). The release is planned for Q2 2020.
