Mairi Chanel is a New England and New Mexico based theatre-maker and Shakespeare practitioner, with a focus on experimental theatre and Shakespeare quickraising, also called contemporary original practice. She is an Associate Artist with Incite Shakespeare Company (formerly the International Shakespeare Center). They co-founded &Sons Theatre and served as the company's Producing Artistic Director from 2020-2024. Chanel is currently training to become certified as an Intimacy Choreographer for live performance with the Intimacy Professionals Association. Recent credits include: Feste (Twelfth Night, Players' Ring Theatre), Margaret (Richard III, Elsewhere Shakespeare), Emilia (Othello, ISC), Richard II (Richard II, Elsewhere Shakespeare), Juliet (Romeo and Juliet, ISC), Elizabeth (Richard III, ISC).
