When I heard that The Katonah Classic stage was doing a Harold Pinter Festival, I was pleasantly surprised! Pinter in the Hudson Valley? The last time I saw any Pinter was on a long-ago trip to London.

Ensemble Studio Theatre and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation announced that Mary Elizabeth Hamilton’s new play Smart has been extended to Sunday, April 30. There will also be a post-show panel discussion following the April 22 matinee performance.

Ensemble Studio Theatre (Estefanía Fadul and Graeme Gillis, Co-Artistic Directors) and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation (Doron Weber, Vice President and Program Director) will begin performances for Mary Elizabeth Hamilton’s new play SMART on Thursday, March 30. Directed by EST Member Matt Dickson, SMART will run to April 23 with an official press opening on Thursday, April 6 at 545 West 52nd Street.

The World Premiere of Only Gold, a new musical with music and lyrics by platinum recording artist and BRIT Award winner Kate Nash ('GLOW') and a book by Tony Award® winner Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton) and Ted Malawer (Everything Beautiful Happens at Night) is now open at MCC Theater.
