Praised for her “creamy and effortlessly produced soprano” (Texas Classical Review), crossover artist Jocelyn Hansen has maintained an active schedule in musical theatre and operatic productions alike. In 2023, she helped premiere the productions of Goin’ Hollywood with WaterTower Theatre and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly with The Dallas Opera, in which her performance made one reviewer “wish she had more stage time" (Opera News).
Her vocal flexibility has also been showcased on the concert stage, including performing as a featured soloist with the Hart Institute of Women in Conducting, the soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the Amarillo Symphony, and with the Abilene Philharmonic in Broadway A La Carte.
Other previous roles include Ens. Nellie Forbush in South Pacific, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Anne Egerman in A Little Night Music and Soeur Constance in Dialogues des Carmélites.
