Internationally renowned pianist Lucy Parham celebrates the bicentenary of Clara Schumann's birth on Friday 13th September with a Composer Portrait concert 'I, Clara:Clara Schumann a?" A Life in Music', touring nationally.

Beyond the Fables is the Unicorn Theatre's exclusive fundraising gala dinner, which will take place on the Unicorn's main stage on Wednesday 5th June 2019. Hosted by Artistic Director Justin Audibert, this unique event is aimed at raising vital funds for Reach, the theatre's major new community scheme, designed to help those in greatest need and the very hardest to reach children.

Harriet Lane's memorably unsettling 2012 novel, about an overlooked sub-editor who infiltrates the literary elite, has been adapted for stage by Lucinda Coxon. Its combination of psychological thriller and industry satire is decently translated, but a conservative production from Bridge boss Nicholas Hytner (who, astonishingly, is here directing his first ever play by a female writer) makes a middling case for the virtues of a theatrical version.

Directed by Nicholas Hytner, Lucinda Coxon's new play Alys, Always based on Harriet Lane's novel of the same name is playing at the Bridge Theatre until Saturday 30 March 2019.

The original version of Rodney Ackland's provocative work, The Pink Room, had a bruising reception back in 1952, losing thousands for investor Terence Rattigan amidst furious reviews. Since salvaged by the Orange Tree in the Eighties, its rebirth was cemented by a Judi Dench-starring production at the National, where it now returns for an intriguing if not entirely convincing encore.

New casting announced for the new National Theatre season. Last night, Patrick Marber's highly anticipated revival of Tom Stoppard's TRAVESTIES opened at Menier Chocolate Factory. The cast features Tom Hollander, Freddie Fox, Clare Foster, Peter McDonald, Amy Morgan, Forbes Masson, Tim Wallers and Sarah Quist, and the play runs until 19 November.
