Wolfgang Muthspiel has shared the title track from his upcoming new album. 'Dance of the Elders' is streaming at all DSPs now. The album, Dance of the Elders, sees the award-winning Austrian musician accompanied by bassist Scott Colley (Jim Hall, Andrew Hill, Donny McCaslin) and drummer Brian Blade (Joni Mitchell, Chick Corea, Christian McBride).

The arrangements are harmonically sophisticated, drawing on the open tunings and intricate fingerpicking of English songwriters like Nick Drake or Richard Thompson. Ellis’s performances are similarly subtle and nuanced, tapping into the bittersweet longing of Chet Baker and the playful poignancy of Bill Evans and Jim Hall.

Ahead of the release of his anticipated new album Yesterday's News, Texas-based singer/songwriter Robert Ellis released a new single called 'On The Run.' An eerie, haunting track, 'On The Run' searches for meaning and escape in an empty horizon as Ellis channels a wayward, destitute outlaw.

Texas-based singer/songwriter Robert Ellis released a new single titled 'Gene.' The song is the latest peak at his forthcoming album Yesterday's News. Like much of the record, 'Gene' is a tranquil rumination on a flawed and broken world, one that acknowledges the ugliness that surrounds us but still insists on finding the beauty.

Coming off his raucous 2019 album Texas Piano Man, Ellis is changing course and embracing a raw minimalist approach that prizes patience and restraint above all else. He also shared the stunning video for the title track “Yesterday’s News,” a wry tune that drifts like a cloud on the breeze as he channels a washed up singer on some dimly lit stage.

Jack Kleinsinger, the founder and producer of the highly regarded landmark jazz series, has put together an exciting, generation-crossing all-star concert lineup to mark the occasion.

On Friday, December 2 at 8:00 PM, Flushing Town Hall will pay tribute to one of the greatest NEA Jazz Masters with Songs for Barry Harris, featuring NEA Jazz Master Sheila Jordan, bassist Harvie S, and jazz guitarist Roni Ben-Hur. The trio will perform jazz standards and tunes Barry Harris played throughout his phenomenal career and share unique stories and memories about the outstanding jazz luminary for the anniversary of his passing.
