Jeremy Karafin founded Poetic Theater Productions in February 2010 and, as artistic director, has produced over 160 productions, showcases, gallery shows and readings including GOLIATH (2011 Planet Connections Award for Outstanding Production of a New Play), faith (2012 Planet Connections Award for Outstanding Overall Production of a Solo Show), Paradox of the Urban Cliché, Dijla Wal Furat, Underground, Foreign Bodies, BACK, Redbone: A Biomythography, Taproot: Poetic Short Plays, Village Orpheus, Outside Paducah: The Wars at Home, the Veteran Voices 2017 Series, 9 Art Gallery Shows, 2 years of Conscious Language and 6 years of Poetic License festivals of new poetic theater. Jeremy founded and produced the first three seasons of the Kinetic Poetics Project, an annual spoken word and poetry festival on the west coast, now in its thirteenth season. Jeremy produced a web-video in support of gay marriage with Alan Cumming and associate produced the Off-Broadway Production of No Place Called Home at 3LD-Art Center, the Wild Project, MileSquare and the cell. Previously Jeremy was the Assistant Director of Student Media and Television Broadcast Adviser at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz where he received the Chancellor's Award for his thesis work with the Kinetic Poetics Project. Jeremy was the Wild Project theater's Venue Operations Manager in New York City's East Village. As a director, he has directed work by Danny Rocco, David Davila, Darren Blaney, Kristina Goodnight, Timothy DuWhite, Mickey Bolmer, Teniece Divya Johnson, and Diana Son. He is the proud director of two of J. Julian Christopher's plays including Rebel Judy and the award winning rock musical ¡Oso Fabuloso and the Bear Backs!

Fledgling Theatre Company, under the Artistic Direction of Matthew Dalton Lynch has announced dates for the New York Premiere of Ted Bacino and Rufus Cadigan's THE SHAKESPEARE CONSPIRACY, a new play (based on Mr. Bacino's book of the same title) that explores the greatest literary deception of all time. The production is directed by Jeremy Karafin and will run April 20th - May 5th in the Studio Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). The official opening will be on Tuesday, April 27 at 7:30PM. It will run as part of the first annual BATTLE OF THE BARDS: THE CHRISTOPHER MARLOWE FESTIVAL, a new six week festival that features two original plays about William Shakespeare & Christopher Marlowe and chronicles the life that Marlowe would have lived as a fugitive, hiding not only his gay sexuality, but also his identity as the actual author of Shakespeare's works.
