The Outer Critics Circle (OCC), the official organization of writers on New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers and national publications, today announced its plans for honoring the 2019-2020 season of Broadway and Off-Broadway productions.

The new Broadway musical JAGGED LITTLE PILL will begin preview performances at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 W 44th St., NYC) on Sunday, November 3, 2019, with an official opening night of Thursday, December 5, 2019.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that the Diane Paulus directed musical, Jagged Little Pill, will come to Broadway this fall following an out of town tryout at Cambridge's American Repertory Theatre and an additional lab in NYC this fall.

According to the LA Times, SPIDER-MAN co-book writer Glen Berger has written a 'tell-all' book about the behind-the-scenes battle that took place during the development of the Broadway musical SPIDER-MAN TURN OFF THE DARK.

According to the New York Times, Julie Taymor came out of her lawsuit against the producers of SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK with better billing. As of March 2011, when Taymor was officially fired as director of the musical, Taymor was credited on the show playbill with 'Original Direction By' just under Philip Wm. McKinley, who was credited as director. Now as per terms in the settlement, Taymor is listed as director above McKinley, who's credit has been changed to 'additional direction by.'

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society ("SDC") and 8 Legged Productions LLC, the Producer of SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, have reached a settlement of all pending litigation between them.

SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK has made headlines for, among many other things, completely overhauling the original version of the bohemoth musical during a lengthy preview period. In an interview with the New York Times, the show's creative team today said that there might be more changes headed for SPIDER-MAN.
