Jennifer Haley’s haunting and sensitively-driven script dive deep into the middle of the human experience as it examines it from one of the hardest perspectives, dealing with a crippling disease. Some diseases render a person defenseless in body and in mind, but then there are diseases such as Dementia, a disease that is not only crippling on the mind but just as crippling on the human soul. What happens when the victim, if that word can even be used, is faced with an extraordinary experience? The ability to trust, feel, and even need, the person is faced with the idea that it could all be gone in a blink of an eye, or for Alida the turn of a page. Jennifer Haley creates an emotionally driven and complex world that is as sobering as it is heartbreaking, and far too familiar with a number of us as audience members. I think that is what makes Jennifer Haley’s script so intriguing and yet so relevant, especially in today’s climate.

The series follows ambitious FBI agent Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) as he struggles to comprehend incarcerated killers, so that he might use this knowledge to catch others. He's teamed with experienced agent Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) in the Behavioral Science Unit and will work with his sometimes reluctant partner to find new methods of investigation. Together they will meet some of America's gravest killers, including Edmund Kemper (played by a mesmerizing Cameron Britton) – and face the cynicism and scorn of the tradition-bound hierarchy of the 1970s' Federal Bureau of Investigation. Ford will risk empathizing with 'evil' in order to save lives. But, as Tench says, when arguing the case for their work: “How do we get ahead of crazy if we don't know how crazy thinks?”

In 1933, an expedition set out for the Indian Ocean, in hopes of creating the greatest film ever made. Instead, they brought back a giant captive gorilla. This was a terrible idea. KONG: A GODDAMN THIRTY-FOOT GORILLA is a genre-bending deconstruction/parody of the classic King Kong story, with commentary on the 1933 film, audience participation, dinosaur fights, and a very large ape on a very small stage. Watch the trailer below!
