A versatile actor and cabaret artist, Jackie has appeared on many of New York’s leading cabaret and Off-Broadway stages. Following a successful NYC producing and performing premiere of Gregg Opelka’s C’est la Vie, Jackie has frequently produced theater and cabaret. Highlights include a NYC/Chicago tour of her solo show, A Little Bit In Love, The Glamorous Life, her Metropolitan Room debut, and a one-woman play, Ginna Hoben's The Twelve Dates of Christmas.

NYC theatre credits include: Conversations with an Average Joe (The Snapple Theater Center),The Christians (Playwrights Horizons), The Events (New York Theatre Workshop), The Dream Café (Dramatist Guild Theater),and 3 the Hard Way (Theater for the New City).

She was recently named a semifinalist in the Metropolitan Room's Metrostar competition and to the Top 15 of Don't Tell Mama's Next Big act competition.

Jackie is originally from Chicago and is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Quarterfinalists Announced for the 2020 American Traditions Vocal Competition


The 28 quarterfinalists have been announced for the 27th annual American Traditions Vocal Competition (ATC), which is slated to run Feb. 17-21, 2020. The 28 talented vocalists, selected from over 100 applicants, will be competing for $40,000 in prizes, plus special performance opportunities with ATC's partner organizations, Savannah Philharmonic and Savannah VOICE Festival.

Last night, Monday August 21, the actress and singer Emily Ellet was mobbed by her many friends and admirers in the audience when it was announced that she had eeked out a photo-finish win in one of the most competitive MetroStar contests in years. Her outstanding mini-set, in which she delivered a dazzingly original interpretation of the '80s disco anthem 'It's Raining Men,' put her ahead of the other four MetroStar finalists, each of whom delivered nearly flawless performances. The 2017 Chicago Fringe Festival and Kids Fringe, August 30 - September 10, announce the slate of performances and venues and all tickets go on sale to the public on Tuesday, Aug. 1 at 12 p.m. The eighth annual Chicago Fringe Festival takes place in five venues in Jefferson Park. Entrance to the Chicago Fringe Festival, called Chicago's "Best Performing Arts Festival" by the Chicago Reader, is a one-time button purchase of $5, after that all individual performances are $10. Kids Fringe features free workshops along with ticketed shows that are appropriate for all ages.

Seth's 400 Showcase NONAPALOOZA Set for This Month


As of this spring, Seth Bisen-Hersh has produced, emceed and accompanied over 400 showcases at Don't Tell Mama during the past 9 years.  To celebrate, he has invited 74 showcase alumni to return to the stage in 5 concerts of his songs in what he deems: Seth's 400th Showcase Nonapalooza!  The five concerts will be: Today, May 3rd; Today, May 10th; Friday, May 13th; Monday, May 16th; and Today, May 24th, all at 7PM.   Shows are all at 7PM at Don't Tell Mama, 343 W. 46th St.  There is a $12 cover and 2 drink minimum.  Reservations can be made by calling 212-757-0788 after 4 or going online to donttellmamanyc.com/shows.  The list of performers is below.
