Off the Wall Productions presents the world premiere production of WHEN JESUS DIVORCED ME, directed by Allison M. Weakland. WHEN JESUS DIVORCED ME will play a one-week limited engagement at Off-Broadway's 36th Street Theatre.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre and off the WALL productions in Pittsburgh are presenting the World Premiere of WHAT KIND OF WOMAN by Abbe Tanenbaum. While working as a personal organizer, Tanenbaum and her client uncovered 20 letters from women seeking abortions in the early 1970’s.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre has announced their programming for 2021, which will include collaborations with local and regional artists including One Whale's Tale (Founders Camilo Quiroz-Vazquez and Ellpetha Tsivicos), Amy Engelhardt, The Playhouse at White Lake, Off The Wall Productions, and HOLDTIGHT company.

Nancy Manocherians the cell, under the Artistic Direction of Kira Simring today announced that it will collaborate with Pittsburgh-based alternative theater company Off the WALL Productions to present the world premiere production of HOARD, a new play by Lissa Brennan, directed by Brian Reager, at the cell, 338 W. 23rd St. New York, NY April 2-18, 2020. Starring off the WALL productions' Executive Artistic Director Virginia Wall Gruenert and Associate Artistic Director Erika Cuenca, local playwright Lissa Brennan has crafted a story written precisely for these two actresses. This play is not for the faint of heart; Brennan has done her research. Both Viv and Claire have emotional skeletons in their closets, though some are more visible than others. Viv's 'things' in her house serve to protect her just as the 'walls' in Claire's heart. Each woman is wounded, guarding her pain, neither wishing to reveal it until it is unwillingly pried out of her fingers. Brennan skillfully unravels the story of these two strangers with wit, compassion and venom.

off the WALL productions closes their 2017-18 season with the regional premiere of Byhalia, Mississippi. Previously staged by Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Evan Linder's funny and moving salute to both down-home decency and a troubled couple living in a see-through shack is a bittersweet story about love, class, race, family, and forgiveness.

When you walk into the black box Carnegie Stage, the impressive and overpowering rear wall of text smacks you in the face. In front, on the stage, a scene from a dystopian mental hospital with an old spring bed and metal frame, a broken and dirty bathtub, and torn hospital curtains. This becomes the haunting backdrop for Sarah Kane's eerie 4.48 Psychosis.

In one last act of love to the theater,  Sarah Kane wrote what many consider her greatest play, 4.48 Psychosis.   A subjective story of clinical depression, the audience is given insight into one particular case - a young woman who stands in the place between life and death.
