Eric Fancher

Eric Fancher is an actor, vocalist, and stage director. He was born in Detroit, MI in 1988. In 1991, he and his family moved to Rocky River, OH, outside of Cleveland. He is the middle of three sons. After floundering in high school athletics, Eric began doing theatre while a senior at Rocky River High School. Since 2005, he has performed in over 100 shows, readings, concerts, benefits, and performance pieces.

He originated roles in two world premiere plays at Dobama Theatre by acclaimed playwright George Brant: "Rust: A Story of Steel and Grit" (Actor 2), and "The Land of Oz" (Jack Pumpkinhead).

Other selected credits from past performances include "The Woman in Black" (The Actor), "King Lear" (Kent), and "The Tempest" (Trinculo) at Ohio Shakespeare Festival; "Something Rotten!" (Nick, Cleveland Critic Circle Award), "Monty Python's Spamalot" (Galahad), and "The History Boys" (Dakin) at Beck Center for the Arts; "Merrily We Roll Along" (Frank, Cleveland Critics Circle Award), "Into the Woods" (Cinderella's Prince/Wolf), "A Little Night Music" (Henrik), and "Violet" (Monty) at Lakeland Civic Theatre; "The Texas Chainsaw Musical!" (Steven), "Evil Dead: The Musical" (Ash), and "The Rocky Horror Show" (Brad) at Blank Canvas Theatre.

Eric has also appeared in the Cain Park productions of "The Frogs" (Charon/Aekos), and "Godspell" (We Beseech Thee) as well as led their production of "The Music Man: In Concert" (Harold Hill) featuring the Contemporary Youth Orchestra, led by Liza Grossman.

Eric appears frequently as a soloist for The Musical Theater Project (led by Bill Rudman), participating in over 20 different concerts since 2016.

He is the founder and webmaster of the Cleveland Stage Alliance online theatre resource since its creation in 2013. He beat testicular cancer in 2015, and he joined Actors' Equity Association in 2023.
