The 2016 Garden State Film Festival Celebrates Honorees, Winners, & 16th Anniversary

Thousands of people attended the Garden State Film Festival's much-anticipated homecoming in Asbury Park March 22-25, 2018. The spectacular four-day weekend event welcomed over 26,000 celebrities, honorees, film industry execs and movie fans to multiple iconic venues throughout Asbury Park. The Festival included networking opportunities, industry workshops, informative panel discussions, open talent casting call, live screenplay reading, star-studded red carpet gala and entertaining parties - all in addition to the screenings of 246 films from 22 countries around the world. The weekend culminated with the 2018 Garden State Film Festival Awards Gala Dinner event on Sunday evening, where this year's honorees were recognized and Festival winners were announced.  
Michael York Narrates TALE OF TWO CITIES PBS Special Tonight, 12/10

British-born actor Michael York will appear as narrator of a staged concert performance of the Outer Critics Circle Outstanding Musical nominee 'A Tale of Two Cities' currently being broadcast nationally on Public Television stations. The program will air in the New York/New Jersey are tomorrow, Friday, December 10 at 8:00 PM (see attached channel listing).

The 54th Annual Drama Desk Awards were held tonight, Sunday, May 17, 2009 in the LaGuardia Concert Hall at Lincoln Center. Drama Desk nominees received their official Nomination Certificates at a cocktail reception on Friday, May 1st at Il Bastardo restaurant, 191 Seventh Avenue (between 21st and 22nd Streets).

Nominations for the 54th Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced this morning at the New York Friars Club by Faith Prince and Jim Dale, multi-award winning stage stars. They were joined for the announcement by William Wolf, Drama Desk President, Barbara Siegel, Chairperson of the Drama Desk Nominating Committee, Robert R. Blume, Executive Producer of the Drama Desk Awards ceremony, and Randie Levine-Miller, Director of Special Events for the Drama Desk.

NATALIE TORO most recently received accolades for her portrayal of Madame Therese Defarge on Broadway in 'A TALE OF TWO CITIES' a role for which she won Sarasota Magazine's Best Supporting Actress Award when the show played its pre-Broadway run at the Asolo Repertory Theatre. BROADWAY: Les Mis?rables, A Christmas Carol. OFF-B'WAY: Zombie Prom. NATIONAL TOURS: Evita (Jeff Award nomination), Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar.
