From the opening drum sequence to the first note, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s behemoth musical that changed the course of the Modern American Musical as we have come to know it completely draws you in, and the silence of the room waiting with bated breath is almost extinguished by the deafening roar of excitement exuded from the audience.

Much in the same way most students know about the Salem Witch Trials through the dramatization found in Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, it’s safe to assume virtually every student of U.S. history from 2015 onward may better know the intimate details of this Founding Father through Lin-Manuel Miranda’s HAMILTON.

What did our critic think of HAMILTON at Ohio Theatre? Before the lights fade and the curtain parts on HAMILTON at the Ohio Theatre, the audience receives a message from King George (Peter Matthew Smith) reminding them to shut off their cell phones and to enjoy 'MY show.'

There have been a million reviews of Hamilton, so you may wonder what could I possibly add? I wondered the same thing. Even as I write this I wonder, there is no real insight here. Everything you have read is true. “It’s amazing!” “5 Stars!!” “Brilliantly written and stage!” All the things. Yes, it lives up to its hype. 

The Broadway phenomenon that is HAMILTON is back in the Crescent City. This epic, historical reimaging by Lin-Manuel Miranda is currently running at the Saenger Theatre now through July 10th. As one of the most impactful musicals to ever hit the bar, the question isn’t so much are you going, but when are you going. BroadwayWorld.com sat down with Alexander himself, Edred Utomi, to talk all things about his role as one of our Founding Fathers.

I heard myself screaming loudly in sync with the other 2,000 plus fans at the Belk Theatre, located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte, as we rendered a standing ovation to the incredible splendor of the Tony award-winning musical, Hamilton (winner of 11 Tony awards and a Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2016).

HAMILTON is a joy to watch, and this cast lives up to the hype of the material they have been entrusted with. Rest assured this is the best way to see the show… live and in person. There is an energy to be shared with the cast and the audience that the COVID era almost made us forget.

HAMILTON!! HAMILTON came to Little Rock! Do I really even need to go on with this review? Ok, well, of course I knew it would 'Blow Us All Away.' Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to Celebrity Attractions and the powers that be for bringing this powerhouse of a musical to Robinson Center, 426 W Markham St, in Little Rock, which is still going on until February 20, so if you have not gotten your tickets, do not 'Say No to This!'

ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, now playing at Moonlight Amphitheater through July 3rd is a joyful, colorful, and exuberant show with powerhouse vocals that would blow the roof of the theatre if the amphitheater had one.

First, the Moonlight celebrates the 40th anniversary of its founding in 1981 and its subsequent productions of 219 shows both at the Moonlight Amphitheatre and the AVO Playhouse. Its second milestone is its return to the stage following a near year-and-a-half nationwide shutdown of live events during the pandemic.
