Every year, Hollywood studios spend millions upon millions of dollars on TV pilots, the test shows that networks order before deciding which shows should become full-fledged series or wind up being locked away in a vault never to be seen again. For every pilot that eventually airs, there are three that never will see daylight, even though there are thousands of hopeful writers, directors and actors in our town that work around-the-clock during pilot season, hoping their work will be picked up and make them a lot of money as a hit TV series.

Earlier this month, BroadwayWorld uncovered a vintage video featuring Broadway legend Patti LuPone in 'Love Cycle: A Soap Operetta', a 'mini-musical' made for PBS in 1984 which was never broadcast. The mini-musical also featured a full cast of up-and-coming stars of the 1980's, including: Walter Bobbie, Lonny Price, Martin Vidnovic, Priscilla Lopez and Ellen Foley. Windham County in Southern Vermont is a place rich with artistic vision, talent and craftsmanship. It boasts five popular craft and artisan open studio tours spaced at different times of the year. The granddaddy is the Putney Craft Tour, which will have its 35th anniversary Thanksgiving weekend. It's the oldest continuous crafts tour in the U.S. and has served as a prototype for tours all over the country. TV writer, playwright, teacher, author and recovered stand-up comic, David Misch, will offer his multi media presentation THE HISTORY OF HA! and Q&A on 'Funny, The Book: Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Comedy' at the 92YTribeca on Friday, March 22 from noon - 1:-00. David's presentation features clips from many famous moments is film and TV comedy history such as Blazing Saddles,' 'Monty Python', 'Mary Tyler Moore Show,' and Abbott & Costello.
