The 38th Adelaide Festival, to be launched this Wednesday 9 November, at Adelaide Town Hall and via livestream offers a total of 52 events in theatre, music, opera, dance, media and visual arts, including major festivals-within-the-festival Adelaide Writers' Week, UKARIA Chamber Landscapes and WOMADelaide – over 17 days and nights from Friday 3 to Sunday 19 March.

World-renown performance artists Acrobuffos will be making their Southern California debut at The Broad Stage with their show Air Play beginning July 21, 2022. The husband-and-wife team of Seth Bloom and Christina Gelsone have travelled the world performing their wordless, highly visual shows. Seth and Christina both took some time from their “intense residency building a new show” to speak a few words for my queries.

 The Broad Stage presents two theatre companies for Summer 2022 – Indian Ink Theatre Company production of Mrs. Krishnan’s Party for seventeen performances July 8 to 24 and the Los Angeles premiere of Acrobuffos’ acclaimed Air Play for 12 performances only July 21 to 31 on The Broad Stage Mainstage.

AIR PLAY, written, created by, and starring Seth Bloom and Christina Gelsone, the Acrobuffos, is set to run at the New Victory Theatre from February 11th until March 6th. It features air sculptures in collaboration with Daniel Wurtzel and direction by West Hyler. With knowing smiles and suitcases full of surprises, this comedic duo elicits gales of laughter as they transform ordinary objects into uncommon beauty. This delightful, flightful homage to the power of air will take your breath away as the Acrobuffos goad gravity and make really, really, really high art out of the very thing we breathe.

Today, the New Victory Theater announced that tickets are now on sale for all of their live Spring 2022 productions, which will include a mix of in-person and virtual offerings. 

Today, New Victory announced their upcoming 2021-22 season, which will include holiday performances of Jim Henson's Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, directed by Christopher Gattelli (NEWSIES). FINDING NEVERLAND was born across the river in Cambridge at the American Repertory Theater three years ago, but has settled in for a fortnight in the downtown Boston Theater district. The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today that Air Play has been rescheduled. Previously scheduled for May 25 through May 27, 2017, the show was canceled due to a malfunction of the fire suppression system in the Wyly Theatre. The New Victory Theater announces its 22nd season as New York's premier performing arts venue entirely devoted to kids and families. This would be a very good show based solely on the book (James Graham) and music (music and lyrics by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy) that it features, but it goes far beyond that in conjuring up an absolutely remarkable theatrical experience. Based on THE MAN WHO WAS PETER PAN, by Allan Knee, as well as the eponymous motion picture, this is a marvelously cast, tune-filled excursion into the imagination of J.M. Barrie. It's really a must-see show, so catch it while you can!

World-famous clowning duo the Acrobuffos are heading to Melbourne this summer to take audiences on an epic comic adventure filled with breathtaking air sculptures and laugh-out-loud physical comedy. In an Australian premiere exclusive to Melbourne, Seth Bloom and Christina Gelsone will perform Air Play from 18 - 22 January at Arts Centre Melbourne's State Theatre.
