Based on the Miramax motion picture by David Magee and the play The Man Who Was Peter Pan by Allan Knee, Finding Neverland follows the relationship between playwright J. M. Barrie and the family that inspired Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, one of the most beloved stories of all time.
After 33 previews and 565 performances, the Broadway production of Finding Neverland takes its final trip to Neverland today. Original cast member, Jonathan Ritter, who has been with the production since its out-of-town tryout at the American Repertory Theater, posted a goodbye video on YouTube for fans of the show. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, after a year and a half of performances, Broadway's FINDING NEVERLAND will play its final performance at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater today, August 21, 2016. The production will have played 33 previews and 565 performances and will transfer to London's West End to open in the spring of 2017.
As previously announced, Broadway's Finding Neverland, the magical story of how Peter became Pan, will soon be leaving the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 46th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue), sailing off August 21, 2016 for a First National U.S. Tour and forthcoming 2017 West End production.

This Saturday, August 6th, Keri Flaccomio attended a matinee of FINDING NEVERLAND with her best friend named Jessica Leva, who recently lost her fiance Zack to T-cell lymphoma, which was likely caused by the medication he was taking for his Crohn's disease. After hearing Keri's story, FINDING NEVRLAND decided to dedicate Saturday's matinee to Zack's memory. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Emmy and Golden Globe award winner Kelsey Grammer recently took his final bow as Charles Frohman/Hook in Broadway's Finding Neverland on April 3rd. Grammer returned to the role on January 19th of this year after a brief hiatus. Paul Slade Smith will take over the role temporarily beginning this week. Sources have told us that Broadway favorite Marc Kusdisch will take on the role next, officially joining the company on April 12.
