For the second production in their 46th annual season of professional summer theatre, Cortland Repertory Theatre presents the fabulous and flamboyant musical La Cage Aux Folles, which boasts a book by Harvey Fierstein based on the play by Jean Poiret, and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman. For the second production in their 46th annual season of professional summer theatre, Cortland Repertory Theatre presents the fabulous and flamboyant musical La Cage Aux Folles, which boasts a book by Harvey Fierstein based on the play by Jean Poiret, and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman. As a playwright, Fierstein is well-known for the musical Newsies and the current Broadway production of Kinky Boots; Herman is best known as the composer of Hello Dolly and Mame. While La Cage Aux Folles is a multiple Tony-Award winning musical and one of Broadway's all time greatest hits, the story is perhaps best known as the movie The Birdcage, which starred Robin Williams and Nathan Lane. 

CRT Downtown presents the Jackpot Comedy THE QUEEN OF BINGO

Next on Cortland Repertory Theatre Downtown's busy spring schedule is the jackpot comedy "The Queen of Bingo", by Jeanne Michels and Phyllis Murphy.  Evening performances at 7:30 PM will play on Friday and Saturday, March 31st  & April 1st, and April 7th & 8th. Matinees are available on April 2nd and 9th at 2:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or in person at the CRT Downtown Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. Tickets are also available for sale 24 hours a day through the CRT website at www.cortlandrep.org. CRT Downtown is located at 24 Port Watson Street in the city of Cortland.
