Following HalfPint at Night, SigSpace will feature, on November 13 from 5:30-6:30pm, a concert response to Quiara Alegr√≠a Hudes‚Äô memoir¬†My Broken Language¬†from¬†Bushwick Book Club‚ÄĒthe theatrical adaptation of which is currently being performed in the Signature Center‚Äôs Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre (through November 27).

Signature Theatre will present Quiara Alegría Hudes’ My Broken Language, the acclaimed playwright’s stage adaptation of her eponymous memoir, and her return to Signature for the second play in her Premiere Residency. My Broken Language takes place Oct 18-Nov 27, 2022 in the Pershing Square Signature Center’s Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre.

Based on Matisse's Self Portrait by playwright Charles Mee and the Greekfilm documentary Yiannis Moralis by Stelios Charalambopoulos, Hotel Mediterranee is a collage between live performance and video. This devised piece follows the lives of two renowned painters-a fictional Henri Matisse and the real Yiannis Moralis. By interrogating the negotiation between the everyday burden of making a livelihood and the creative process, Hotel Mediterraneeexplores the angsts and pleasures behind all great creativity and behind all human existence.
