Wilton's Music Hall has announced its stunning autumn season, which sees ground-breaking productions, and collaborations with forward-thinking theatre companies. Continuing what has been an incredible year of theatre for Britain's oldest Victorian music hall, this new season is set to be one of the best yet.

Casting has been announced for a ground-breaking new production which transports one of Shakespeare’s most enduring classics to 1930’s Britain – The Merchant of Venice 1936 - which will embark on a UK tour this Autumn, beginning at the RSC’s Swan Theatre from Thursday 21 September.

Originally scheduled for a 2020 run, The Merchant of Venice 1936 has successfully weathered the pandemic!  It is to premiere in Spring 2023, in a partnership between Watford Palace Theatre and Trafalgar Entertainment, supported by the Royal Shakespeare Company with a research and development period earlier this year.

Watford Palace Theatre and Watford Borough Council have REimagineD their annual outdoor celebration to ensure it is COVID safe but still full of fun. It will be a little different from previous years, but will once again transform Watford outdoor spaces into places of wonder and excitement, with dance, comedy and art for all the family to enjoy for free this July.

Watford Palace Theatre is about to reopen and has used the lockdown as an opportunity to build exciting new collaborations and fresh thinking, bringing the company back bigger and better than ever.

Together/Apart NHS is for families with children from 4 to 10 years old, and uses storytelling, problem solving and interactive games to bring everyone together for 60 mins of escapism and bonding with the adventures of Captain P.I.Lot and the Super Computer in space.

Next month, Creation Theatre in partnership with Watford Palace Theatre presents the world’s most famous star-crossed lovers, fated to bring about their own tragic downfall, in an expansive multi-platform digital production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet.
