Aliya Bailey

Aliya is a teen performer from Saint Paul, Minnesota, who has been passionate about theater for the past 8 years. Her love for performing began early, and she quickly found herself in a lead role in her first musical — an experience that sparked a lasting connection to the art form.
That summer, she attended a camp at the Guthrie Theater, which soon became a second home. Since 2017, she has returned every summer, continuing to grow as an actor, singer, and dancer. The training and community she found there helped deepen her dedication to storytelling and performance.
Aliya currently attends a performing arts high school in the Twin Cities, where she continues to hone her craft and explore new creative challenges. In addition to school productions, she has also taken part in professional theater. Most recently, she made her professional debut last spring at Artistry Theater, playing Brigitta in The Sound of Music — an experience that strengthened her commitment to pursuing performance at the highest level.
Theater is where Aliya feels most confident and inspired. She loves connecting with others through stories and being part of something meaningful and collaborative. She’s excited to keep learning, growing, and seeing where her artistic journey takes her next.
