Al Weaver

Al Weaver made his professional stage debut in Trevor Nunn's production of Hamlet at London's Old Vic in 2004, sharing the title role with Ben Whishaw. He later appeared as Meshak in the Royal National Theatre's production of Coram Boy (2006–2007).

Weaver's film credits include The Merchant of Venice (2004), Colour Me Kubrick (2005), Marie Antoinette (2006), Unmade Beds (2009), Me and Orson Welles (2009), Armistice (2014), Doom, and Colette.

His television work includes roles in The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Personal Affairs, Five Days, The Nativity, The Smoke, Five Daughters, Secret State, Southcliffe, Sherlock, Life in Squares, and Press (2018). Since 2014, he has portrayed Leonard Finch in the ITV series Grantchester, and directed an episode during the show's eighth season.

Weaver has also worked in radio and voice acting. He portrayed Christian Henrici in the BBC radio drama Bach: The Great Passion (2017). In video games, he voiced Rex in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (2017), reprised the role in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and starred as Dr. Rees Wakefield in the interactive thriller The Complex (2020).
