Noche de Zarzuela at Opera del Sol

Opera del Sol is delighted to announce their upcoming production of Noche de Zarzuela, as part of Open Scene’s Festival Latinoamericano de Artes Escénicas (FLAE) at Fringe ArtSpace! This performance will close the week-long festival of Spanish language theater and performing arts

Noche de Zarzuela will be stage and music directed by Mexican-Spanish artist, Bert Rodriguez. Rodriguez brings a wealth of international  performance experience and his own cultural  heritage to bear on this production. He is joined by Venezuelan-Cuban viola player Daniel Cortes, who last appeared with Opera del Sol in the October 2022 production of Hansel and Gretel.  Cortes will lead a quartet of live instrumentalists to support the outstanding vocalists for which Opera del Sol is known.
