Clue by Sandy Rustin is a fast-paced stage farce and murder mystery inspired by the 1985 cult film and the classic board game. Set in 1954 at the remote Boddy Manor near Washington, D.C., six eccentric guests-Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, and Miss Scarlet-arrive for a dinner party hosted by the mysterious Mr. Boddy. They are greeted by the butler, Wadsworth, and the maid, Yvette.
When it's revealed that each guest is being blackmailed, Mr. Boddy distributes the famous weapons and proposes murder to keep their secrets hidden. The lights go out, a gunshot rings out, and Mr. Boddy is found dead. What follows is a frantic, comedic scramble through the mansion as corpses pile up and the guests try to unmask the killer.
A live-action homage to the film and game, the play features witty repartee, slapstick chaos, and multiple possible endings. In the final act, Wadsworth hilariously reenacts the entire series of events before the true murderer-or murderers-is exposed in a riotous twist ending.

As a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization, we’re largely supported by contributors—50% of our income comes from contributions and sponsorships. We employ a year-round staff of seven, and within each season we employ over 100 artists. Riverside Theatre is governed by a volunteer board of directors.
