Artful Events, parent company of Orlando's downtown venues The Abbey and The MEZZ, announces the creation of the Downtown Broadway Cabaret Series, and the addition of two more amazing performers to the series.

In addition to the previously announced Sounds of the Seasons holiday shows featuring Andrea McArdle on December 17th and 18th, the Downtown Broadway Cabaret Series will now include performances by renowned Broadway headliners Norbert Leo Butz and Robin De Jesus.

"We are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to bring the best of Broadway to Orlando," said Kenny Howard, Artistic Director for The Abbey and The MEZZ. "Central Floridians no longer have to travel to New York City to see the most sought-after performances - we are bringing them to you!"

Norbert Leo Butz will reprise his highly-acclaimed 54 BELOW show with Memory & Mayhem Unplugged at The Abbey on January 15th (8 pm) and January 16th (9 pm). The show features re-imagined arrangements from many of his Broadway musicals by Musical Director Michael Moritz, as well as contemporary songs that were an intimate part of Norbert's life growing up in rural Missouri, ranging from country and blues to rock 'n roll. A two-time Tony Award winner, honored for his work in Catch Me If You Can and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Butz most recently starred in the Broadway musical Big Fish. Other notable roles include Fiyero in Wicked, Roger in Rent, and his Tony Award nominated performance in Thou Shalt Not.

Tickets to Memory & Mayhem Unplugged are available at ticketweb.com for $75 (VIP) and $50 (General Admission).

Robin De Jesus will present Crush to Crushed, an evening of pop, rock, Spanish, soul and Broadway music on February 5th at 8 pm and February 6th at 10 pm at The MEZZ. De Jesus will discuss "crushes, loves, break ups, hook ups, sex and some of his mother's best kept secrets about lust...be prepared for lots of tangents, no-sequiters, Adderall and of course laughs."

De Jesus is currently performing in Bruce Norris's Domesticated at Lincoln Center Theatre before the show's transfer to Broadway in the Spring. He is best known for his Tony-nominated roles in In the Heights and La Cage aux Folles.

Tickets for Crushed to Crushed are available at ticketweb.com for $60 (VIP) and $40 (General Admission).

Andrea McArdle will present two performances of Sounds of The Season, December 17th and 18th at 8 pm at The Abbey. A show business legend, McArdle will lend her incredible voice not only to traditional holiday song favorites, but also beloved Broadway melodies from Oliver, Annie, Meet Me in St. Louis, and more.

McArdle was the youngest performer ever nominated for a Tony Award when she received the nod in 1977 for originating the title role in Annie. She has since appeared in countless musicals, including Les Miserables (Broadway and national tour), Jersey's Girls with Carol Channing and Leslie Uggams, and Beauty & the Beast, in addition to many concerts, recordings and television and film roles.

Tickets for Andrea McArdle's Sounds of the Season are available at ticketweb.com for $60 (VIP) and $40 (General Admission).
