April J. Barber (she/her/hers) is a multidisciplinary creative performer with several years in the fine arts. Drama Centre trained, April believes that devising is the purest form of collaborative art and that collaboration is the soul of any artistic endeavor. April has appeared in The Anthropologists' production of No Pants In Tucson as Alice Walker/ James (Maude) Allen/Theadora Fitzpatrick, as Chicken in Up Theatre's production of A Barn Play (Lizzie Donahue), as The Lady in The Scottsboro Boys, Celia in Shakespeare’s As You Like It, and Nym in The Merry Wives of Windsor to name a few. When she’s not behind the mic, onstage or on screen, April enjoys an intense HIIT workout and preparing a new savory dish.

Mariah Freda (she/her/hers) is a theater artist living and creating on Canarsie land currently known as Bushwick. Her primary discipline is that of an actor and she received her training and MFA from The New School for Drama. In the 4th grade, Mariah triumphantly portrayed The Artful Dodger in the musical, Oliver! at her tiny Catholic school and has continued to remain a steadfast lover of the theater. Since then, she has appeared on many New York City stages, some tiny, some medium sized, a few underground. In 2012 she teamed up with The Anthropologists, becoming Artistic Associate in 2016 and over the years has helped bring to life a bounty of plays. Mariah is a mother to two, small, spirited children who continue to inspire her to be better, learn better and know better. Nazlah Black (they/them) is a physical theatre artist and intimacy professional whose most recent theatre credits include Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night (Match:Lit), Maria in Twelfth Night (Indecorous), Portia/Octavius in Julia Ceasar (Barefoot Shakes), Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Little Flame), and Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest (Encounters Theatre). Recent film credits include starring as Rosalind in As You Like It (Shakespeare In The Woods) and Spoon in Michael Irish’s film Permanent Collection. Nazlah Black received their BFA in Theatre from Cornish College of the Arts(2016) and has also spent time studying theatre at The Pig Iron School and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Jalissa Fulton is a NYC based film/television, voice over, and stage actress. She received her BA in Theatre at the University of South Carolina, and after graduating, she moved to New York and earned her MFA at the Actors Studio Drama School. One of Jalissa’s favorite voice over productions was in A Christmas Carol for Standby for Places Podcast. She can be heard on Spotify and/or Apple Podcast voicing characters: Belle, Broker #2, & Charity Solicitor #2, and more. Some of her all-time favorite theatre credits include Catherine in Proof and Mayme in Intimate Apparel.

Melissa Moschitto (she/her) is a director and writer who specializes in devised theatre and new plays. Her work has been seen at HERE, The New Ohio and Dixon Place. She is the Founding Producing Artistic Director of The Anthropologists, a theatre company dedicated to the collaborative creation of investigative theatre. Favorite projects with The Anthropologists include Artemisia's Intent (Best Solo Drama, Frigid 2018), This Sinking Island (2018), Save The World! (Ice Factory 2017) and No Man’s Land (2016, TheaterLab) and most recently No Pants In Tucson (World Premiere - 2021), for which she was awarded an NYC Women’s Fund Award. A former competitive figure skater, she loves infusing her work with movement. She has trained with Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, Doug Varone and Dancers, SITI Company, and Odin Teatret in Denmark, among others and holds a B.A. in Theater from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Melissa is also a mom to two delightfully dramatic children. She works and resides on the unceded territory of the Lenape in Washington Heights, NYC

Avery Rudd (she/hers) is a Texas-born, New York-based actress, creative director, and press agent whose work can be seen on stage and behind the scenes. She graduated from Hofstra University in the spring of 2022 and uses her dual degree in BFA Theatre Performance and Public Relations to enhance the voices of the art communities around her. Current clients include: NYC’s The Anthropologists, Amnesia Wars, and New York’s renown vocal performance group The Western Wind. When she is not acting, editing content, or writing songs, she can be found reading, binging comfort shows, and hunting for the best bagel in NYC.
