Staten Island JAZZ Festival 38

Universal Temple of the Arts Staten Island JAZZ Festival has become one of the most anticipated events of NYC’s holiday season. The 38th annual celebration of jazz takes place on Saturday, December 19, 2026, at the majestic St. George Theatre, 35 Hyatt Street, Staten Island, NY, from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

This year’s lineup features gifted musicians: GRAMMY® Award-winning vocalist and pianist Nicole Zuraitis; incredible trumpeter and vocalist Jumaane Smith; “Queen of the Violin” Kersten Stevens; and Dal Segño Trio, featuring guest vocalist Jazzmeia Horn. Dr. Darrell Smith, distinguished educator, bandleader and Staten Island native, serves as Musical Director, and the festival will be hosted by Sheila E. Anderson of WBGO, 88.3 FM.

In addition to the stellar musical performances, the festival will honor NEA Jazz Master Reggie Workman and cultural maven Laurie A. Cumbo with the Sajda Musawwir Ladner Jazz Legacy Award for their extraordinary contributions to jazz, education, and the arts and culture community.

The Staten Island JAZZ Festival highlights the vibrant spirit, history, and unique cultural heritage and artistic influence of jazz. Universal Temple of the Arts has long embraced the American-born music genre of jazz and has presented the Staten Island JAZZ Festival for over three decades to preserve and amplify this national treasure.

You don’t want to miss this night of joyous, unforgettable JAZZ!
