LPAC Presents Euripides’ The Trojan Women
In Collaboration with Eclipses Group Theater NY, May 14–17
LONG ISLAND CITY, NY (April 14, 2026) — LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC), in collaboration with Eclipses Group Theater NY, will present Euripides’ powerful anti-war tragedy The Trojan Women, May 14–17, in The Little Theater at LPAC.
A searing portrait of war’s aftermath, The Trojan Women centers on Queen Hecuba and the women of Troy as they confront enslavement, loss, and displacement following the fall of their city. Written more than two thousand years ago, the play remains profoundly resonant in its examination of grief, survival, and the human cost of conflict.
Tickets: General admission is $25, with special offers and student pricing available at lpac.nyc/trojanwomen.Performances will take place May 14–16 at 7 p.m., with a final performance on May 17 at 4 p.m. LaGuardia Performing Arts Center is located at 45-50 Van Dam Street in Long Island City.
Directed by Ioanna Katsarou, Co-Artistic Director of Eclipses Group Theater NY, with a new translation and original music by Demetri Bonaros, Co-Artistic Director, this production brings one of the ancient world’s most enduring dramas to Queens audiences through a special partnership between LPAC and Eclipses.
The production features a multicultural cast of professional performers.
This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program, an initiative of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature and administered by Flushing Town Hall.
