To find the truth, you have to play the game. But Pauline’s mind has found solace in nostalgia and any truth about the events will have to be reconstructed through the tenuous fragments of jumbled memories. As son Alex pushes for the truth, it forces everyone to confront a guilt that is not hers alone and a past that can’t be absolved by confession but must confronted. A darkly humorous and honest exploration of family, forgiveness, and the stories we tell ourselves about the past.
The Sparks Kennels are now empty, everyone scattered. When mother Pauline is institutionalized, the family returns to piece together what happened.
