Megan Mariko Boggs

Megan Mariko Boggs was born and raised in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. A recent graduate of the BFA Music Theatre program at Illinois Wesleyan University, Megan is thrilled to be making her New York performance debut with Strongbox Theatre. With a passion for Asian representation in theatre due to her upbringing on the islands of Hawaii, Megan has gotten the opportunity to explore what her Japanese heritage brings to a variety of works including but not limited to those exploring Asian identity. She’s particularly fond of her opportunity to traverse the vivid imagination of Jerusha Abbott in Daddy Longs, adventure into the forests of Arcadia to embrace love as Philoclea in Head Over Heels and investigate the meaning of forgiveness through the eyes of Mary Magdalene in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. She is forever grateful for her family’s endless support in her dreams.

Lucy Livingston

Lucy Livingston is a Brooklyn based performance artist originally from the Florida Panhandle and she is definitely not gay. She is a member of SlugFest Theatre, a collective of artists that specialize in clown and comedy. She is currently developing a solo project, Bradaret, featuring her original character, Brad. SlugFest devised original works include: Missing 411: Into the Void (Providence Fringe, Cincinnati Fringe, Upper Jay Art Center), F*ckboi Healing Circle (Buffering Festival), BirdBrains (Irondale, The Deep End, UJAC), and Tortle and Friends (Nuyorican). Other performances include: Hex in the City (Theatre Row), Four Sisters (TFANC), and Tubular (Kraine Theatre). She graduated with a BFA from NYU Tisch in 2015 with honors. She does not floss. Grant Awards: The Puffin Foundation (2021).

Sarita Alvarado

Sarita Alvarado is a lesbian, non-binary, Hispanic, neurodiverse, actor from Long Island New York- a mouthful right? They currently study musical theater at Oakland University in Michigan. The culture shift from NY to MI was not easy for Sarita. However it emerged them even further into their passion for social justice within theater arts. Sarita’s educational credits include: Fanny Dashwood (Sense and Sensibility) and Olive Ostrovsky U/S (Spelling Bee). Professionally Sarita has appeared as a swing in Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical, as well as Marie Baker in a virtual reading of David Matthew Barnes’ Pensacola with Blue Dasher Press. They are very aware that this is only the beginning for them, and they are so grateful that Strongbox is a part of their beginning as a professional actor. When they’re not acting, Sarita takes great pride in their dedication to physical fitness and nutrition. After being diagnosed with high cholesterol Sarita began taking healthy recipes and whipping them up into something delicious. They also took to the track in order to stay in shape, and honor their late uncle who was a passionate runner. Sarita is currently training to run a 5K by the end of the summer and a marathon by the end of their life. They hope you enjoy this wonderful evening of short plays! Muchos besos.
