The Austrian Cultural Forum New York presents the Austrian contemporary pop duo, Nimikry (in their New York City debut). Admission is free, and reservations (online at ACFNY.org) are required.
Nimikry, the Austrian duo consisting of Alessandro Baticci (flute) and Rafal Zalech (viola), reinvents classical instruments through the use of technology and contemporary performance techniques. The band explores diverse sound worlds and creates innovative music that transcends the borders of both traditional and contemporary music, blending elements of experimental electronics, noise-pop, classical remix, and improvisation.
