Frenzy Fest at El Barrio's ArtSpace

First Theater Festival in East Harlem dedicated to the human psycheFrom Friday, April 19, to Sunday, April 28, six different plays that explore the human psyche will be presented as part of Frenzy Fest in El Barrio's ArtSpace PS109. Frenzy Fest is an innovative concept that seeks to promote multicultural dialogue, freedom of creative expression, and tolerance for community members who experience mental disorders such as: agitation, delirium, fury, hysteria, and madness as a result of a psychotic condition, as a result of drug or alcohol abuse. Furthermore, in the complexity of the mind, almost all human beings can experience temporary madness or violent mental and emotional agitation without necessarily being diagnosed as a psychotic person.http://www.bip-nyc.com/Amneris Morales(212) 360-0401787-632-1141PROGRAMMINGFriday, April 19 at 7:00 P.M. & Saturday, April 20 at 8:30 P.MForty-Six Hundreds Tales of survival on a stranded island Puerto Rico after MaraBy: Tamaris Caals & Orlando Gonzlez (In English & Spanish)Actors: Tamaris Caals & Orlando GonzlezSynopsis: In the midst of all the stress of Hurricane Maria a reporter covers the news, while he and his wife are victims of physical and emotional devastation.Friday, April 19 at 8:30 P.M. & Saturday, April 20 at 7:00 P.MLa Chica del ParqueSometimes I am so different from myself that I could be taken for someone else totally opposite.By: Eduardo Valdez (In Spanish)Director: Ral RiveraActors: Jemma Ibarra & Juan Manuel SanabriaSynopsis: A woman with multiple personalities lives all their lives every time she is in the park with her beloved man.Sunday, April 21 at 4:00 & Friday, April 26 at 8:30 P.M.El Espejo Could abortion affect your subconscious to the point of desiring death itself?By Yasmar Cruz (In Spanish)Adaptation: Jos Ramn HernndezDirector: Yasmar Cruz Actors: Yasmar Cruz, Sharon GallardoSynopsis: Adriana's Mirror allows her to look into her subconscious and reveals to us her frustrations within her marriage, her loneliness ... and an induced abortion.Sunday, April 21 at 6:00 & Friday, April 26 at 7:00 P.M.Trash Talk A play about garbageBy Alano P.
