Join the Adelphi Orchestra for a special concert on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM celebrating the 50th anniversary of Dmitri Shostakovich! Under the direction of conductor Kyunghun Kim, the afternoon begins with the world premiere of Between the Suns, composed by Gilad Cohen. This orchestration of his award-winning Ten Variations sets the stage for a mesmerizing program. Next, Carl Maria von Weber’s Concerto for Clarinet No. 2 in E-flat major, Op. 74, will be performed by clarinetist Kingsley Hsieh. The concert concludes with Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 1 in F minor, Op. 10—a groundbreaking early work by the composer.
