The Adelphi Orchestra proudly presents Northern Harmonies, a captivating concert showcasing the works of Sibelius, Grieg, and Svendsen, under the baton of Maestro Kyunghun Kim. The concert will highlight renowned violinist Matthew Hakkarainen, Grand Prize Winner of the 2024 Young Artist Competition, performing Sibelius' Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 47. This beloved concerto, renowned for its lyrical beauty and technical brilliance, will leave audiences spellbound. The program also includes Edvard Grieg’s Holberg Suite, a delightful orchestral work inspired by Baroque dance forms, and Johan Svendsen’s Symphony No. 2 in B-flat major, a rarely performed gem of the Romantic era. The concert offers an exciting opportunity to experience Nordic-inspired masterpieces performed by one of the region’s premier orchestras. Can’t attend in person? No problem! The concert will also be available via livestream, allowing audiences to enjoy the performance from the comfort of their homes. Saturday, May 3 | 3 PM | Broadway Presbyterian Church, NYC Tickets
