Under the lively and inspiring direction of John Helmer Fiore since 2009, the Norwegian National Opera Orchestra has developed enormously, including as a concert orchestra. «The musicians are playing with even more personality and greater self-confidence», says the Music Director. This season we invite you to three concerts in the Main House with full orchestra and leading conductors and soloists.
Symphonic works by well-known and beloved composers constitute the season’s repertoire.
The orchestra musicians say that they enjoy playing their own concerts; they are able to play with colour and sound in a different way than in the ballet and operatic productions. With its exceptional acoustics, the Main House has gained a reputation as one of Europe’s best concert halls, so the audience can simply sit back and enjoy the performance!
Music Director John Helmer Fiore is inviting leading soloists and conductors from both Norway and abroad to participate, while he himself will conduct the concert on 31 October 2014
