THE COLOR PURPLE - Theatre of Gadsden Non Equity Auditions

Auditions for Theatre of Gadsden's production of The Color Purple, directed by Stephonn Ammons, will be held Saturday December 28, 2024 2:30 PM- 4:30PM, and on Monday January 6, 2024 6:30 PM- 8:30 PM. Auditions will be at the Ritz Theatre at 310 N. 27th Street, Gadsden, AL 35904.

Females can elect to audition with their choice(s) of Celie’s “I Am Here,” Shug Avery’s “Push Da Button,” or Sophia’s “Hell No.” Males can be prepared to sing Albert’s solo in “Big Dog. Otherwise, auditionees should present a song that best represents themselves and also fits into the soulful style of the show. Bring or wear attire that one can learn and perform a short dance combination in.
