Project Description: A short theater scene to be filmed.
'The Audition' concerns Jake, a friendly worker at a local theater who gets a visit from a mysterious, dedicated actress who wishes to audition for a role in the latest play that is set to begin rehearsals soon. The only problem is, Jake has no idea who this woman is, and she won't say her name. Hilarity thus ensues.
We are looking to re-cast the role of The Actress on short notice.
Character Breakdown:The Actress: (Age 28-32) A very pretty, very determined actress who takes her passion for acting very seriously, thus she prefers to not reveal her name, only going by the name of the character she is auditioning for.
Note 1: The comedy of the character is that she is so determined to be a great actress, and hit every nuance of the character she is auditioning for, she is seemingly oblivious to how smitten she is making the character of Jake. Think Rose Nylund from The Golden Girls, or Carol Burnett or Vicki Lawrence from the Carol Burnett Show.
Note 2: There is some kissing involved in this scene, please be comfortable with this before sending in your audition notice.
