THE SWEET DELILAH SWIM CLUB - Pinckney Players

We are excited to announce auditions for our spring show!

The Sweet Delilah Swim Club (formerly Dixie Swim Club)
Written by Jesse Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten

About the Play:
This hilarious and touching show features five southern women whose friendships began on their college swim team and who meet every summer for a reunion at the same beach cottage in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The show focuses on four of those weekends and spans a period of thirty-three years.

Audition Dates:
February 1 and 2, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.
Callbacks on February 4 if needed

The auditions and callbacks will be held at Shalom Lutheran Church,
1740 M-36, Pinckney, MI 48169.

We will follow COVID precautions for auditions and rehearsals. Please bring your mask.

Come prepared to complete cold script readings. Please bring your calendar so that you can list conflicts.

There are roles for five women ages 30-70. 30 years+ only please.

The Cast of Characters:
SHEREE: the spunky team captain, who desperately tries to maintain her organized and perfect life, and continues to be the group leader..
DINAH: the wisecracking overachiever, is a career dynamo, but her victories in the courtroom are in stark contrast to the frustrations of her personal life.
LEXIE: pampered and outspoken, she is determined to hold on to her looks and youth as long as possible. She enjoys being married.....over and over again.
VERNADETTE: Self-deprecating and acerbic, she is acutely aware of the dark cloud that hovers over her life and has decided to give in and embrace the chaos.
JERI NEAL: Sweet and eager-to-please, she experiences a late entry into motherhood that takes them all by surprise.
