SHERLOCK HOLMES: THE FINAL ADVENTURE - CAT Theatre
CAT Theatre is holding auditions for Sherlock Homes: The Final Adventure on Sunday August 24 and Monday August 25 at 7:00 p.m. Auditions will be held at CAT Theatre, located at 319 N. Wilkinson Road in Richmond.

Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure runs October 24 through November 8, 2014 and kicks off CAT’s 51st season. It was based on the original 1899 play by William Gillette and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and adapted by Steven Dietz. It was the winner of the 2007 Edgar Award for Best Mystery Play.

It seems as if the world’s greatest detective has reached the end of his remarkable career, but then he is confronted with a case far too tempting to ignore. When the King of Bohemia faces blackmail by famed opera singer, Irene Adler, Holmes and his faithful companion Dr. Watson find themselves falling into the trap of evil genius Professor Moriarty. As Holmes says, “The game is afoot Watson, and it is a dangerous one!”

Director H. Lynn Smith is seeking six males, five ages 40 to 55, one age 25 to 45, and two females ages 35 to 55.

Readings will be from the script and will be available on the CAT Theatre website at
www.cattheatre.com. All actors must be capable of executing basic fight choreography and should come prepared to move at auditions.

No appointment is necessary. Actors will be also asked to read from the script and should be prepared to stay for the entire length of the audition time. All roles are paid.

CAT Theatre is located at 319 N. Wilkinson Road, Henrico, Virginia 23227.
