PLAID TIDINGS: FOREVER PLAID - The Missoula Community Theatre

The Missoula Community Theatre will hold a virtual audition for the harmonious and humorous holiday musical Plaid Tidings: Forever Plaid. The Plaids, the lovable quartet of Francis, Jinx, Smudge, and Sparky, return to the stage to fill the Christmas season with some much-needed smooth, joyful tidings.

Auditionees are asked to go to MCT’s website to access an audition packet. The auditionees will record an audition video that can be uploaded to MCT’s Google account between now and Monday, Oct. 12. Auditions must be submitted by Monday, Oct. 12. There are 4 male roles available for actors age 16 and above.

The leader of the quartet is the confident, but asthmatic romantic crooner and second tenor/baritone Frankie. First tenor Jinx is the shiest member of the quartet, while baritone Sparky’s personality is all humor and energy. Down in the bass section is Smudge, whose tendency to worry too much causes a nervous stomach and keeps him hiding his natural appeal behind his glasses.

Director Joseph Martinez expects to begin socially-distanced rehearsals the week of Oct. 18. Rehearsals will likely be weeknights from 7:00-10:30 PM. Those auditioning should note that performances for Plaid Tidings: Forever Plaid will be Dec. 3-20, 2020. **For questions regarding auditions, please call MCT at 728-PLAY(7529) Monday-Friday between 10AM and 3PM. Due to COVID-19, perusal scripts for Plaid Tidings: Forever Plaid are not available. 200 North Adams St., Missoula, MT 59802 | 406-728-7529 | mct@MCTinc.org | www.MCTinc.org
